Artist Bio

Eraghone Ely, 26, is a Congolese musician, rapper, songwriter, actor, dancer, director, video editor, and businessman who goes by the stage name Eraghone (Eraghone Empire). He studied in primary and secondary school in the Democratic Republic of Congo but fled the country in 2012 and has been living in Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya ever since. Dadaab camp is home to over 220,000 refugees and asylum seekers and has been compared to a city. At Dadaab, Eraghone has been learning digital skills and graphic design through courses offered by the Norwegian Refugee Council, which has given him hope for the future.
