Meet Our Artists
Musician Chi Suwichan Phatthanaphraiwan is a member of the Karen ethnic group. He is also an actor and composer, best known for “Songs from the Karen Forest” (2012). He lives in Mae Sot in northern Thailand and is a well-known activist for the Karen. Through his music, he advocates for ethnic equality and cultural identity and love for nature.
Eraghone Ely, 26, is a Congolese musician, rapper, songwriter, actor, dancer, director, video editor, and businessman who goes by the stage name Eraghone (Eraghone Empire).
Eh Ku Thay, 19, left his village in Karen state in Myanmar two years ago, to study at Thoo Mweh Khee Migrant Learning Centre in Mae Sot in northern Thailand. Inspired by Justin Bieber, Ku Thay had always wanted to be a singer, but he never had the opportunity to learn to sing as there were no singing teachers in his mountain village.
