Welcome to the Unheard Music Project

The history of music is the history of people’s stories. The Unheard Music Project celebrates refugee-made music by maintaining an archive of refugee-made compositions and performances from all over the globe. These songs celebrate art, experience, culture, history, community, and love, while documenting exile, isolation, struggle, and grief. They carry ‘home’ in their harmonies, and bring people together.

The Unheard Music Project supports refugee artists not only by providing a streaming platform for their music, but also by directly supporting unheard musicians through financial remuneration, networking, and exposure.
